Goodbye to Nanny G. (*sniffle*)
Nanny G. has officially turned in her key and left the employ of "Herding Cats". Branch and Blossom penned this poem for her. They considered purchasing a piece of jewelry as a thank-you gift, but since Nanny G. herself is a bit sentimental, they decided to write a poem instead:
For diapers you changed
And tears that you dried
For being so loving
And right by our side
For coming so early
And staying so late
For hopping over
The kitchen gate
For trips to the park
And rides on the swings
For feeding us dinners
Of many good things
For washing our hair
With shampoo on our heads
For giving us baths and
Putting us in our beds
For teaching us Spanish,
To laugh and to walk
For always listening
When we try to talk
For helping our mom
Through many tough times
We wrote all these
Silly small rhymes
We love you, Nanny G.
And Mr. D too
There are no two people
Finer than you.
Con Mucho Amor Y Besos Tambien (with much love and kisses also)
Llorona y Gordito (Their Spanish names)
Marzo 2006 (March 2006)
This was printed out on nice stationary, suitable for framing and will be given to Nanny G.

So sweet. The kids will have such nice memories!
this is definitely a 5 tissue boxes gesture...back home..this is so sad...the entire population rely on hired maids from Philippines, Indonesia etc to look after the kids and at the end of their contract...before adieus, the Madame will check her luggages to ensure none of her(madame) cheap accessories are found.
Goodbye Nanny G
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to uphold yourself
While cats around you crawled ...
Not sure I know the full story, June. Where is Nanny G off to?
Beautiful! And just perfect, too.
That is beautiful June. I am sure she will treasure it far more than any piece of jewelry.
Has she turned her key in for good, or just temporarily?
I know you are going to miss her terribly.
Will your mom (lagato) still be available to help out once and a while?
Hi Junebee!
Hopefully everything goes well.
I took a look at a few of your recent posts to catch up with what's going on these days...
While you're at Niagara Falls, there's a strip called Clifton Hill that is very tourist-oriented and it offers lots of stuff to do (and purchase)...
I noticed you were holding the sword in your left hand in the pic. Are you a lefty? Just curious.
Anyway, Bourdain is pretty cool...I enjoy his books and "A Cook's Tour"...I don't have The Travel Channel, so I haven't seen ihis new show yet...
Take care out there, Junebee!
Your Pal,
Zambo.

Wendy: Yes, I am going to ask Nanny G. for a pic of her and Mr. D. for the kids.
Lagato: I don't know, Mr. D. may be done at Cheddar's by the next time you get here! He's planning on going back to school this summer.
Black Feline: I like the tissue box rating! Cool! Actually when hiring a nanny, it was the expensive accessories I was worried about but I had no worry with Nanny G.
Stringman: Gee, that lyric sounds hauntingly familiar. She's off to gainful (read: documentable) employment) and to marry Mr. D!
Lin: Thank you. Should I try out for Hallmark cards sometime?
Spiderwalk: Nanny G. is leaving permanently. She does have a college degree so she would like to work in that field (human resources). She worked for an executive search firm in Colombia. But she will always be a good friend of our family.
Zambo: I will keep Clifton Hill in mind. Maybe I'll be allowed out to shop w/o the Branch and Blossom!
Yes, I am left-handed. It's an awesome advantage in tennis and in Hapkido, a grappling martial art. (I am also left-footed and more flexible in my left hand and leg).
(I deleted and re-posted this comment since there was an error in the reply to Zambo. Always in the persuit of excellence here at "Herding Cats")
