Organ Harvesting In China-Where Is The Front-Page Coverage?

This article on
The Epoch Times about human organ harvesting in China is not an easy read. Also, see this page about worldwide hunger strikes to protest organ harvesting, and this article about New Yorkers reaction (warning, graphic photo in this article).

This article explains what Falun Gong is. The "gong" part (also "Kung") is the same "Kung" as in Kung-fu (also called "Gong Fu" in texts with a more Chinese-bent translation.) Although Falun Gong is not a martial art, it purports to improve both the mind and body, as many martial arts do. Li Hongzhi is a controversial figure himself. Personally, I have no respect for someone who chooses to live safely in NYC while his followers are under attack from their own government in China. Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong were covered in Time Magazine in the late 1990's and also in Time Asia in 2001. Regarding line 3 (Li Hongzhi's birthdate), this may be due to a difference in how Chinese measure age at birth. In China, a child is presumed to be one year old at birth (which makes sense, in a way), causing differences in record-keeping for Chinese who cross into Western culture (i.e., the Citizen).

Herding Cats is left speechless and once again wonders what sort of world this is to raise the Branch and Blossom in.

this is really scary stuff...and tragic. Hopefully the coverage will reach bigger world audience..and somehow pressurize the authorities to relook at the persecution of the Falun Group. There's a chapter in Singapore too..however, they are always getting into trouble with the Law there? I don't understand at all :(

There is so much that is disturbing in this world and, unfortunately, it is not new. Just reflect upon the horrors of history and I am amazed that there are so many good people out there.

Focus on the good, sweets. Do what you can about the bad and don't ignore it but just don't focus on it.

Scary!

(Also scary is my inclination to click on the link that says "(warning, graphic photo in this article)" first...but that's another story)...

I really don't have much to contribute at this time...it's pretty sad though...

Take care out there, Junebee!

Your Pal,

Zambo.

P.S.
I might be back if anything good comes to mind...

Black Feline: I know, it's as if humanity learned nothing after WWII.

Lin: I know, I try to think of all the hard-working people who try to do good such as nurses and doctors, teachers, etc but it man's evil toward man just seems overwhelming.

Zambo: Thanks for commenting. Either lots of people didn't read this or did read but not comment. I don't have one of those site trackers, so I don't know. They're sort of like googling yourself. Too scary, do I really want to know what's out there?!

Junebee, this is absolutely horrific! I hope it's not true but probably it is, and it sort of reminds me of that movie The Island, where clones are breed purely for organ harvesting. Thanks for bringing attention to this and maybe the media will probe some more and confirm the story.
